![]() thus sending me back into the world after each visit feeling as if I've been rejuvenated and my body and mind at the most relaxed state of the year. Voila! It is this cozy, warm inn that gives such a sense of well being. In short.always having the luck of having the experience of a well-heeled world traveler. So that you have an idea of how my opinion of this 'Magical Inn' has been formulated, you should know that I am a world traveler for work and pleasure who is a 'platinum.Schmatinum member of every loyalty plan'.and thus I travel very well from knowing General Managers at the Grand Hotels in Paris, Berlin and Madrid to Luxury Lodges in South Africa. Stay Here! I could simply end the review there but I have much to share as I want many lovers of Nantucket to be able to experience our 'favorite few days of the year'.at the Brass Lantern.as well. I will start by stating what I wrote last year. If you want to be close to town and enjoy your privacy this is the place for you.Īgain. ![]() The Brass Lantern is a lovely very comfortable well kept relaxing Inn. One of the other guests showed us their room and it was spacious. Overall I would definitely recommend the Brass Lantern but would prefer a room where we were not worried about bumping our heads. There is a lovely garden with comfortable chairs to relax. In the afternoon there were fresh baked cookies and ice tea which was a nice treat after sightseeing in the lovely island of Nantucket. Every morning there were muffins, coffee cake/scones, fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, cheese/crackers and yummy wine jelly and coffee and tea available as well as juices. As for the breakfast it was nicely presented in the dining area but not much variety during the five days we were there. There was no one really to ask advice or recommendations regarding sightseeing but many pamphlets on the table by the front door. We are still trying to figure out why an introduction was never made as other guests told us she was on premises and she had sent us such a nice email. Overall the staff was very friendly and accommodating (we had burnt out lights in our room and sand in the bed on our first night and they were quickly taken care of) but we have stayed many B&B's throughout the world and were always greeted at some point by the owner. Sharon showed us to our attic style room which was nice and clean but I would not recommend it if you are a person of tall stature. ![]() Prior to our visit we received a nice email from Michelle (the owner) welcoming us for our upcoming visit and according to the other reviews she is very nice BUT we never had the opportunity to meet her. We spent five nights at the Brass Lantern it was an easy walk from the ferry and very conveniently located to all the downtown attractions as well as an easy walk to Jetties Beach.
